About Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)

The Border Security Force is a crucial component of our paramilitary defence forces. The BSF's primary responsibility is to protect our borders, particularly those that are more likely to be a flashpoint for violence, such as the India-China and India-Pakistan borders.

There are certain criteria for selection in this force. There are mainly two categories in it, the first one consists of officer level posts which require a lot of hard work and effort and then comes the non-officer ranks. Officer rank entries are conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) CAPF AC entry while for non-officer ranks BSF releases separate notifications based on vacancies. There are officer-level roles, such the Assistant Commandant, as well as non-officer level jobs, including Radio Operator, Radio Mechanic, Sub Inspector, Head Constable, BSF Group B, and many others.
